Conservatorships

A conservatorship is established pursuant to court order to provide financial management for individuals who are unable to manage their financial affairs. Conservatorships may be either voluntary or involuntary in nature.

Guaranty Bank Trust Department, as conservator, provides the following services for a conservatorship:

  • Collection and maintenance of assets in safekeeping
  • Management of property and investments
  • Investment of assets pursuant to investment objectives and income needs
  • Payment of bills and obligations
  • Preparation and delivery of inventory and accountings to the court
  • Delivery of quarterly (or more frequent) reports to interested parties
  • Coordinate preparation of personal income tax returns
